 INTERESTED IN JOINING THE PHONELINES SUB-COMMITTEE?
A Phonelines volunteer answers phone calls coming into the San Fernando Valley Area Helpline (818-997-3822). It can be done at your own location (phone is forwarded to your number). Suggested clean time requirement is six months. You can be the first point of contact a person ever has with NA. According to our guidelines, our purpose is “To carry the message of Narcotics Anonymous through an area-wide phoneline which directs addicts to a meeting of NA. Our primary purpose is to be at this end of the phone line when an addict calls.” We now receive calls from various people with a variety of questions, as NA is increasingly known and accepted in the community.
Our meeting time: 2nd Sunday of every month at 11am (see contact info below for time and place of meeting).
In May we meet on the first Sunday due to Mother’s Day.
Every three months in January, April, July, October we have a pot luck lunch before the meeting at 11am, where all are invited.
